Inspiration: Foliage.

A very autumn-y look.  Actually created this look around the enamel-coated leaves in the upper left hand corner.  I was perusing through plant items and stumbled upon this basket and plate then ran with it.  The jacket is my favorite.

Directions: Empty contents from closet.  Layer sheer tee under button-down plaid shirt (open) then top with bomber jacket.  Stir in boots and scarf (who says paisley doesn’t go with plaid?).  Add in accessories. Mix well.  Serves one.

Tom Cruise might be a wacko but he’s a pretty sharp looking wacko, seen here with Katie and Suri in Boston last month.  Plaid fashion is an indispensable trend, in the fall especially, and for guys, it can be the easiest look to pull off.

Took advantage of Rugby’s Insider Sale this weekend- between Rugby.com and the Rugby store on University Place near Union Square, I left with such great finds!  Tried to keep the spending under control and managed with four items for the price of just one of them.  Rugby’s pretty major when it comes to blazers and jackets and I had my mind set on two before even entering the store.  If you’re searching for a basic blazer, check out the Little Boy Polo Jacket.  The striped-satin behind-the-collar detail is the best, giving a girly touch that plays well with a white tank and boyfriend jeans.

In step with autumn, I also got the Brayton Suede-Patch Work shirt.  Falling for the details on basic items once again, this flannel button-down is vibrant in color, which provides great contrast to the suede patch on the right shoulder.  Dark skinny jeans, brown boots- done.
